Attachment Programme
Our Attachment Programme is designed to help you apply your classroom knowledge in a real-world professional setting, equipping you with essential skills for your future career.
This short-term (up to 3 months) attachment provides an opportunity to:

Internship Programme
Our Internship Programme is designed to provide foundational learning and professional exposure, helping you bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical skills
This 3 to 12 month internship offers a hands-on learning experience where you will:

Management Trainee Programme
Our Management Trainee Programme is designed to help you grow into a future leader through structured learning, cross-functional exposure, and hands-on experience in a dynamic and challenging environment
This 12 to 24 month program provides an intensive and holistic training experience, where you will:
- Rotate Across Departments – Gain multi-functional exposure by working in key areas of the organization to develop a well-rounded business acumen.
- Participate in Leadership Development Workshops – Engage in interactive training sessions that build strategic thinking, decision-making, and leadership skills.

Who Can Apply?
We are looking for motivated, curious, and ambitious individuals who meet the following criteria:
- Recent Graduates who have completed a Bachelor’s degree within the last year or are set to graduate this year
- Academic Excellence: You should have a minimum Second-Class Honors (Upper Division) or a GPA of 3.0 and above.
- Relevant Fields of Study: If you have a degree in Public Health, Development Studies, Social Sciences, International Relations, Business Administration, Finance, or Human Resources, we encourage you to apply

Fellowship Programme
Our Fellowship Programme is designed for emerging leaders who are passionate about driving sustainable impact in public health and beyond. Through this program, we aim to cultivate a diverse network of experts who bring fresh perspectives, varied experiences, and innovative approaches to solving complex health challenges. By prioritizing inclusivity and representation, we ensure that leadership within and beyond Amref reflects the communities we serve, fostering collaborative solutions that drive real change.
This 6 to 12-month fellowship is an opportunity to develop expertise, influence policy, and shape public discourse at local, national, and international levels. As a fellow, you will engage in:
- Cross-Program Collaboration – Work across Programmes, Departments, Counties, Business Units, and external partners to gain a broad perspective on public health challenges.
- Experiential Learning – Apply your academic knowledge to real-world challenges through hands-on projects and initiatives.
- Coaching and Mentorship – Receive guidance from experienced leaders and experts in the field to refine your skills and enhance your impact.
- Policy Influence and Thought Leadership – Play a role in shaping public discourse and advocating for evidence-based solutions beyond Amref.
Who Can Apply?
We are looking for individuals who are committed to driving change in public health and related fields. You can apply if you meet the following criteria:
- PhD Students specializing in Public Health, Community Health, Nursing, Health Systems Strengthening, Health Policy and Management, Epidemiology, or Business Studies.
- Amref Staff who are either current PhD students or have completed a PhD and have at least two years of work experience may also be considered based on expertise and potential impact.
- Completion of a PhD Program and confirmation of passing a defense would be an added advantage.
